Patrick Rondat - Ibanez

  Patrick Rondat endorses Ibanez

In the 1980's a new generation of guitarists began breaking the rules of rock.

In equipment, that usually meant they had to make all kinds of after market modifications: different tremolos, hotter pickups, custom necks.

A lot of these players came to Ibanez knowing that,
since we weren't locked into "tradition",
we might break a few rules ourselves.

And we did.

20 years on, a new century and guitarists haven't changed their ideas so much - maybe now they want to break rules to an even greater degree, and certainly expect the highest possible quality and output from their instruments.

Ibanez have continued to produce guitars for the 'guitarist' and created a tradition and reputation of their own - high quality, customisable, affordable top flight guitars - with an after sales service second to none.

Patrick Rondat is now an endorser of Ibanez.

Two new custom Ibanez guitars were debuted by patrick in Greece (2000)

90% the standard Prestige model.

The low pick up location is slightly altered - something that can be done very easily on the standard model.

Tone control is included.

If an E-Bow is used i.e On the Edge and in Greece with Jean Michel - the tone has to be cut on the guitar, it is not possible to do it from the amp.

Visual customisation is the two frogs at the 12th fret and the dynamic blue colour.

The low pick-up is a Di Marzio Humbucker from Hell which produces a nice bright sound.

Patrick has changed the volume control location, because on the standard model it is too close to the strings and can cause a problem with the right hand technique

The second guitar is rich red.

Piezzo transmitter in the bridge and two volume controls, one for electric out and one for acoustic. There is a switch and two outputs on the guitar to get both on one output or switch on two outputs if you need it. You can have one output on the regular amp and the other with a direct on the PA so you can get a real acoustic sound just with a switch.

It could be possible if many people ask for it that Ibanez will do a Series model, but there are no plans for this in the immediate future.
