Patrick started to write songs for this album as far back as 2001 - Tethys was then in the early stages of completion, and at that time was considered as the possible title track. As more songs were added the concept of an Ephemeral World was born.
To date the concensus of opinion amongst those who have heard the album is that it is THE best he's ever written! It is difficult to disagree - 'An Ephemeral World' is an album of many colours, many new and different techniques, new sounds, new rythmns. It expresses many different moods, invokes deep feelings in the listener as Patrick steers you through his own vision of this world.
