Ian Parry's first project album contains 11 powerful symfo-progressive melodic metal tracks, including an enigmatic rock ballad and an additional bonus track for Japan.


The theme of the album is a reflection on peoples daily lives. The struggles some have, while others achieve things easily, the reluctance to take chances, and how change can affect the equilibrium of life.

The album has been recorded in studios throughout the world including the USA, Holland, Germany & Hungary. Ian has personally co-ordinated the production and the album was mixed at Area 51 studios in Germany by ex-Victory guitarist/producer Tommy Newton.

Ian Parry - vocals

Ian Parry - Singer of Elegy, Vengeance and many other participations.
Ian at his very best - definitely one of the best voices in the business.
'Consortium Project' - written and produced by Ian.

Drummer and colleague of Ian from the Dutch Symfo-metal band Elegy.
Dirk's incredible technique has given Ian the freedom to experiment with different tempo changes throughout the album.

Barend and Ian worked together previously on Perfect Strangers.
Barend is presently the bassist with the Dutch hard-rock band Vengeance, and one of the best 6 string bassists around today.

The renowned guitarist from the German symfo-progressive metal band Vandenplas.
Stephan's heavy, but melodic style and unique 90's metal approach captures the imagination and forms a perfect unity for each of the 5 songs he performs.

Ian can be heard on the Ayreon album 'A Rock Opera' while Arjen appears on two of Ian's previous solo albums.

Producer of Helloween's albums 'The Keeper of the seven keys, Parts I & II'
Tommy plays bass guitar on a number of songs on Consortium Project.

An extensive solo career spanning 5 solo instrumental rock albums, including 'Amphibia' in 1996.
Guitarist with world famous synthesizer wizard Jean-Michel Jarre between 1992-1995.
Patrick brings his formidable expertise and skillful playing to some of Ian's compositions.

Tamàs and Ian worked together in December '98, recording 'Live in Budapest'
Tàmas's collection of 6 recorded albums to date includes 'Dreamlake' 1994 and 'Blue Syndicate' 1996
His classical acoustic and hard-rock background, known to many around the world gives Ian's composition 'Chain of Fear' a magical atmosphere.

Classically trained pianist - Jan Vayne appears as a special guest performer on the ballad 'A Miracle is all we need'
Jan is known to millions in Holland and around the world, not only as the young man who played at President Clinton's inauguration party, but as a popular television celebrity.
The Wisseloord studios in Hilversum were chosen to record Jan's emotional and enigmatic grand piano performance.

Guitarist and founder member of Florida based progressive metal band Kamelot.
Thomas Youngblood is gaining worldwide recognition after the release of 'Siege Perilous' 1998.
Thomas features in 2 songs on 'Consortium Project - recorded in Tampa USA at the studio of Kamelot drummer Casey Grillo.

Martin Helmantel - guitar

As the founder member and Ian's collegue from the Dutch symfo-metal band Elegy, it is only natural that Ian invited Martin to appear with the Consortium project.
Martin's solid & confident style can be heard to great effect on the closing track ' Pandora's Box ' (European version)

Various special guest backing vocalists also feature on the album.
